Compliance Frequently Asked Questions

Applicability Analysis

The applicability analysis questions are designed to ensure that you are provided with a facility-specific legal library which only includes the legal requirements that are applicable to an organization’s location, operations and activities. The questions help us identify and understand your ‘context’ better and therefore enable us to provide you with a more accurate list of legal requirements.

In order for CleanChain, powered by Libryo, to ensure that your facility's information is accurate and updated, we ask that you please indicate any changes to the facility, and answer any new questions applicable to your facility, each year that you renew your subscription with us. If there are no changes, simply let us know that there have been no changes and all of your law will remain up-to-date.

What is an Applicability Analysis?

The applicability analysis consists of various questions that help us to figure out what law applies to your facility.

To determine what law, you have to comply with, we need to understand the following:

  • Where is the facility located.

  • What activities take place at the facility.

  • What is on, in or near the facility.

These questions are designed to ensure that you are provided with a facility-specific legal library which only includes the legal requirements that are applicable to an organization’s location and operations, and activities. The questions help us identify and understand your ‘context’ better and therefore enable us to provide you with a more accurate list of legal requirements.

How often should I complete the Applicability Analysis?

In order for Libryo/ADEC to ensure that your facility's information is accurate and updated, we ask that you please indicate any changes to the facility, and answer any new questions applicable to your facility, each year that you renew your subscription. If there are no changes, simply let us know that there have been no changes and all of your law will remain up-to-date.

Why should I complete the Applicability Analysis?

By filling out and completing your applicability analysis you will get a more accurate and facility-specific library of law in your legal requirements tab. You will also receive only the applicable and relevant compliance tasks for your facility.

What happens if I don’t fill in my applicability analysis?

If you do not complete your applicability analysis, you will still receive a library of law and compliance tasks. However, you might just have too much law and some irrelevant tasks.

Do I need to be a lawyer to complete the context brief?

No. The questions in your applicability analysis have been kept simple and easy to understand. The applicability analysis is to understand your facility and context better so that we can provide you with an accurate library of law.

Your compliance tasks and the answers that we receive from your submitted Applicability Analysis are directly linked. The Applicability Analysis is an important step to ensure that you receive an accurate legal library that is applicable to your operation. Your applicability analysis answers determine which compliance tasks you will receive. If you don’t fill out your applicability analysis you may receive irrelevant tasks.

Once you have completed your applicability analysis, the update to your legal library will happen immediately.
